Another very sad news... Anthony Caro passed away last week. I was lucky enough to work with him when he inaugurated the Chapel of Light in the North of France.

Kara Walker at the Camden Arts Centre

The Camden arts centre in London presents an exhibition by the American artist Kara Walker until 5 January. Through controversial visuals and videos, the artist explores contemporary racial and sexual tensions. Characters drawn from American popular literature, culture and history, expose the myths that lie beneath cultural archetypes and the darker aspects of human behaviour.

Claridge's Christmas tree by Dolce e Gabbana

I know it's early but I wanted to let you know that Claridge’s has announced that this year their annual Christmas tree will be designed by the Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.

"Our Christmas tree isn’t only a celebration of Christmas as we celebrate it in Italy, but it’s at the same time atribute to the artisanal Italian tradition, the same that we love to export worldwide with everything we do”. – Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana

It promises to be colourful...

Rick Owens Spring 2014 Womenswear Paris

Following Iman Bowie and Naomi Campbell's recent call for the lack of racial diversity in the fashion industry, Rick Owens seemed to be responding and supporting it with his Spring 2014 Paris show.

Check the video to appreciate the fantastic mise-en-scène and choreography. Let's also remember Iman's quote hoping that things will change in the future: "I don't want to ever hear again a young model telling me that [casting directors] have said to her: 'We are not seeing black models this season.' To me that's offensive. To me that's a racist remark."

Spanish Sojourns: Robert Henri and the Spirit of Spain at The Telfair Museum

The Green Fan (Girl of Toledo)

Spanish Sojourns is the first museum exhibition dedicated to the Spanish paintings of Robert Henri (1865-1929), one of the most influential American artists of the early 20th century.

Henri traveled to Spain seven times between 1900 and 1926 and produced a substantial body of work inspired by Spain’s citizens and culture. His portraits span Spanish society—from famous dancers, dashing bullfighters, spirited gypsies, blind street singers to weathered old peasants.

It's currently presented at the Telfair Museum in Savannah, USA and will later travel to San Diego.
